Sandwich Fire Department proudly protects 20,750 people living in an area of 28 square miles. The Fire Department responds to limit the effects of fire and other disasters, medical emergencies, and to assist our neighboring communities through an extensive mutual-aid network. The department’s mission is to establish aggressive fire prevention and training programs and develop its service to a level which will provide fire and/or advanced life support equipment with trained personnel at the scene of an emergency incident in 95% of Sandwich, 95% of the time, within eight minutes of notification of the emergency units.
